Entrance Keywords per Day

Codex Discipulus October 14, 2009

Google Analytics Reports are very helpful to track your site activity. Creating custom reports to track any specific activity in your site is one of the richest features in Google Analytics. I needed to create a report that will help me track what keywords were used to access the site in a daily basis. By adding another metrics like “Time on Page” it helps me filter the bots from the real visitors.

Follow these steps to create a report similar to mine and feel free to use as a template to add your own metrics.

1) Add metrics:

  • Entrances
  • Bounces
  • Unique Pageviews
  • New Visits
  • Time on Page
  • Avg Time on Page
  • Pages/Visit
  • Time on Site
  • Avg Time on Site
  • Exits

2) Main Dimension: Day

3) Sub-Dimension: Keywords

Edit the name and preview the report and save after that.
